What is a tunnel boring machine?
A tunnel-boring machine is essentially a big drill. Because of how much larger the scale is, there needs to be more power, the ability to drill through barriers, and an efficient way to rid of the excess. The machine generally consists of some kind of blade or a series of blades, tracks for forward and backward motion, a motor, a power source, and a material removal system.
